How to get to The Isle of Lewis

The M.V. Isle of Lewis runs two,  on some days in the summer, three trips daily (click here for their timetable) the journey time is around 2hrs 40mins and it is important to make advance bookings for vehicles. Please note that one of the ferry trips arrives in Stornoway in the early hours, please inform us if you intend to use this service.

Tarbert Isle of Harris:

During the summer, a ferry runs from Uig on the Isle of Skye to Tarbert, the main village on Harris, twice a day except on Sundays. There are fewer sailings in winter. It takes 1 hour 35 minutes to cross the Minch, again it is important to book vehicles in advance.

By air to Stornoway Airport:

Flybe operate flights to/from Stornoway, Barra, Benbecula, Inverness, Glasgow, London and many other destinations.

Flybe (in conjunction with Loganair) operates flights between Inverness, Stornoway and Benbecula.

Eastern Airways operate between Aberdeen and Stornoway
